Dave Elliott is one of the go to headline acts on the NI comedy circuit
Dave Elliott is one of the most in demand headline acts on the Northern Irish comedy
circuit. He has written and performed five solo shows to date: 30 Years a Dave, Dad,
Pillowtalk, Bits and Pieces and Roleplay—with a brand-new show Obsessed set to tour in 2026.
Dave has also supported major acts including John Bishop, Kevin Hart, Jared Freid, Andrew Ryan, Jarlath Regan, Killian Sundermann, Tim McGarry, Shane Todd and Colin Murphy and is a regular performer at the acclaimed Lavery’s and The Empire Laughs Back Comedy Clubs.
He is the host of the popular weekly Sly Guy Podcast, which attracts thousands of
listeners every week, and BBC’s Daddy What’s A Podcast?, which won a Silver IMRO
Award in 2025.
His television credits include BBC NI’s Lesser Spooked Ulster, The Rave Lockdown, Big
Comic Energy, Late Licence, The Blame Game and Stand-Up from The Sunflower. He has
also featured regularly on Radio Ulster programmes such as The Connor Phillips Show and
Vinny and Cate, establishing himself as one of the standout voices of a new generation of
Northern Irish comedians.
In 2022, Dave co-wrote the Channel 4 Blap William of Orangedale, which received
nominations for both an RTS NI Award and a Broadcast Digital Award. He was
subsequently shortlisted for the Debut Writer category at the New Voice Awards 2023.
As an actor, Dave has appeared in the acclaimed drama Malpractice and played fan
favourite Brendan Higgins in Blue Lights. He will next be seen in the upcoming action-
comedy Ride or Die alongside Hannah Waddingham.
